Hello, and thanks for visiting the site. My name is Jeffrey Sylvester. My wife Aimee and I moved from Austin, TX to live in the mountains near Asheville, NC, 5 years ago. We came here for some breathing room and a slower pace to start our family. In addition to our 2 ½ year old son, I own several other businesses, which tend to keep me pretty busy. To stay active, I enjoy cycling, hiking, and snowboarding. I've got a passion for good coffee, vintage watches and low humidity.

I didn’t get my PHD in Nutrition or Mathematics, but I do know how to work a calculator and a food scale like it’s nobody’s business. I grew up exercising a lot and it never seemed to matter what or how much I ate. I’m 5’ 8” and weighed 128 pounds when I graduated from high school. A love of ice cream, a busy work/life schedule and lack of exercise saw that increase by 62 pounds over the next 12 years.

I had a history of weighing myself every morning and night when I was younger to make sure that I was replenishing all of the fluids lost while training to be a competitive cyclist while growing up in the South. I had noticed that I always lost a significant amount of weight while sleeping, which always intrigued me. When it came time to shed the weight that I’d gained, I decided to make a plan based on weighing no more than half of a pound more at night than I had awaken at. Low and behold, I lost a little over 50 pounds in 100 days, all without exercising, fasting or counting calories. I continued to use this plan over the next several years to maintain what I had lost and occasionally shared it with friends and family that had a desire to lose weight.

There's been lots of encouragement to write a book by those that had used the formula, but the plan is actually so simple that I always joked that a pamphlet would be more in order. So instead of printing anything, I decided to put the concept out on this site. I’m not saying that I know everything about nutrition and weight loss, but I know a fair amount. I feel confident based on my own experience and the results of others that I can help anyone that is determined to lose a significant amount of weight.
